Dardel Soaps began as a hobby during the pandemic. The creator/founder of Dardel Soaps worked for an over seas company, Meaning days and nights were opposite . spending solitary nights surrounded by the sounds of the computer quietly whirring and the click clack of the keyboard. And days half filled with sleep. As a way to fill in the day that others would normally use to shop, work and do the usual jobs people do during daylight hours. I needed something to do! I needed something to fill in a few hours each day, and so whilst searching the internet for a hobby i could try i found a video on how to make soap. Not yet having the skills or understanding of what was involved i bought myself a soap making kit. This was the start of an almost obsessive hobby. I didn't start out thinking it would become a small business, just something to help eat away the daylight until i logged back in to my work portal and resumed my night job. But my Soap room as it is now known became filled with so many bars of freshly made soap I needed a way to either use them up quickly or sell them. I didn't have enough family or friends who wanted or used soap and so I thought why not sell at small markets. This came with its own challenges and so an online store was required. Not I can make soap when i have the time in-between my day job and still have the thrill of cutting into a freshly made loaf to see what patterns have been created.
I am always open to new colour combinations and feedback on how my recipe is performing so please drop me a line. There is always room for improvement. and what one person likes isn't always what someone else does.
I also make solid shampoo and conditioner bars. This was born of necessity rather than a hobby as I suffer with eczema.
